I was born in Montreal and lived there until 1997 when my husband Art and I moved west. We spent our winters in Osoyoos, BC and now have made Osoyoos our year round home.
After retiring in 2007, I was looking for a hobby and joined Artists on Main , formerly known as the
Osoyoos Painters and Potters.
With the help of fellow members I began to learn this new craft and a love of doing art developed.
I took several workshops from artists such as Bonny Roberts, Sandra Albo and Sharon Leonard as well as learning from art videos and books.
People ask where I get my inspirations. It is very simple really, my inspirations come from life. I remember places we visited, observation of nature, or just plain old day dreams. trying to put it down on canvas or paper is challenging but that is the reason I keep on painting.
The joy of learning and the pleasure of painting every day is rewarding in itself.
I sincerely hope that you will enjoy viewing my work as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Yours truly
Jocelyne
I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it. – Pablo Picasso
